16th Aus Film Festival - The Barbican, London
16th Aus Film Festival - The Barbican, London
Which of you UK people haven't seen 'Two Fists, One Heart' yet? Well at this year's Australian Film Festival at London's Barbican, they're showing it on 25th March if you're in the area. [link]
Also showing on the same day is a film based on the musical Bran Nue Dae, which is being introduced by our Tim, according to the Barbican's website. I'll try and get confirmation for this for you. [link]

Bran Nue Dae has been out for a while now here in Aus... Haven't seen it myself but have heard it's pretty good.

Oh the irony - I would have loved to have gone down to see this - but I'm in Australia on holiday then!

Anyone planning on going along to this? I thought I might have a bit of a Minchin-fest, watch both films and get my first bit of stalking in, I'd love some company if anyone wants to join

Had fun seeing the last one, so as long as I find some other people willing to share on a hotel cost, I'm there!

Just joined this forum (been a tim fan for some time but only just found this :d). I've got tickets for both films (and various other films in the festival, as i'm an aussie film fan as well as a tim fan).

I've got the Film Festival booklet and in that it says Tim is also introducing 'Two Fists, One Heart' but no mention on the website. Anyone know what's going on?

Could be a mistake on the site as it would make more sense him introducing two fists - usually in the festival they have people relevant to the film (eg the director, actors, etc). They have made bigger mistakes before. Or he could be introducing both while he's there. Doesn't matter to me as i want to see both films anyway. Tim is just a bonus (a big bonus of course)

Website error. Tim told me that he was introing that film too but I didn't announce it as it wasn't on the website but if it's in the booklet then it must be true.

Yay! Thanks Linzy. That's excellent news. I did think it a bit odd that he'd intro the other film but not 'two fists'.
